Well another fortnight has passed - I can't believe how fast this year is going.  I'm sorry my post is late - I am having problems with blogger including the fact that for some reason it won't llow me to comment on people's beautiful ards so I'm not sure how I am going to get this fixed. But rest assured I look at all the entries into the challenge and they are all just great.
So onto this eeks challenge.

Our theme for this week is RED, WHITE & BLUE AND/OR A SUMMER THEME..OR BOTH!! Whichever you'd like to work with, and whatever project you'd like to enter!! Can't wait to see what you end up entering!!!

Our sponsor for the first part of our challenge is LIMITED RUNS!!

We love to have Limited Runs with us and her adorable images...especially those yummy cupcakes! Anyways, our winner will win 3 Digital images of winners choice from Limited Runs, so lets learn a little bit about them....
When I started creating christmas cards for my friends I didn't realize how addictive it could be and it's slowly been getting larger. We all start somewhere and it's been growing.Creating Digi's just happened to be a blend of using my drawing and computer graphix together to create "Limited Runs"which is my digital stamp store. I've also started Freebie Fridays and will be doing this for a Limited time too. Each may be posted from 1 day to ??? (Limited Time Offer) May you all enjoy my digi's as much as I love to make them. So if your looking for some YUMMY cupcakes I've got over 70 Varieties to choose from and lots more with more always in the works Don't worry there are also others available too from Cute to a little scary pop by and you'll see what I mean!!! and Occassional Large seasonal Digi's for those who scrapbook digi's that are 8 By 8 Inches too these will pop up from time to time and be limited runs too

I have been trying to use my Spellbinders for my cards lately as I have sooo many of them and I really want to make use of them as they are quite expensive.  I am also hoping to make all of my Xmas cards with them so need the practice LOL.  So here is my card;

I'm afraid the pictures aren't great so don't show the vibrancy of the papers.  Everything I have used is from my stash.  I think the papers are Bo Bunny and for me nothing says summer like sunflowers!  The butterflies and insert are Spellbinders dies and I have added some distress inks, some beautiful olive green ribbon to pick out the green in the papers, a couple of hatpins and a gem swirl underneath.  There are alos a couple of Spellbinders swirls in brown underneath too and the little leaves in top left are also dies.
My husband really liked this card so I was pleased with it too ;o)
Hope you will join us in our challenge this week.
Oh and scroll down to my post below for a chance to win a Humphrey's corner stamp plate

Craft US Crazy challenge 7 - Father's Day or Masculine colours/theme

Hello everyone - I can't believe where the time goes so here we are with another challenge at Craft US Crazy.  This weeks challenge is FATHER'S DAY and/or MASCULINE COLORS/THEME!!!! Let's not forget our Dad's out there. Father's Day is June 19th here in the UK and I believe it's the sdame in the US too so Father's Day theme is a good one for those of us here and across the pond. However if you don't fancy the Father's Day theme then feel free to make any masculine themed project.
We want all crafters to feel welcome, so if your crafting medium fits our challenge, then we welcome you to join! Whether it be sewing, scrapbooking, altering, cardmaking, candle making, whatever!! We hope you'll be joining us!!

We have some awesome sponsors for you throughout the month of May!! Our sponsor for the first week of our Father's Day/Masculine challenge is.......

and they're offering the following prize to our winner.....
4 IMAGES OF WINNERS CHOICE
And we would like to welcome a new sponsor to Craft Us Crazy that will be sponsoring the second half of our challenge, beginning June 16th...and that would be the ever so cute and adorable..
So come on over and have a go!

So onto my card - I find men's cards hard to do but needed to make something for my Dad so I went with a cute Popcorn the Bear stamp from Crafter's Companion.

I've kept it simple which I think works better for men's cards.  It is an 8 x 8 easel card using the yummy Kraft papers printed from A Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD and I've added some distress ink around the edges along with some string and buttons from my stash.  The image is coloured with Distress inks too.  I used a little Spellbinders tag for the sentiment and on the whole I'm quite pleased with this - I just hope my dad likes it too ;o)
Hope you all join in with our challenge this fortnight.
